Good to know
Ferry days to Mentawai are Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun. A 30% deposit (for bookings more than 60 days out, or full payment if within 60 days) secures your booking; the balance is due 45 days before arrival.

Booking Policies & FAQ
The details, up front
For bookings more than 60 days before arrival, a 30% deposit confirms your dates with the balance due 45 days prior. Bookings within 60 days are payable in full. A card processing fee of up to 3.5% may apply.
60+ days before arrival, 70% is refundable and the 30% deposit converts to a 12-month stay credit. Within 30–59 days the booking is non-refundable (50% may convert to credit at our discretion); within 30 days it is fully non-refundable. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. All rates are subject to 11% government tax. The Mentawai Surf Tax (USD 120 for 15 days) is paid locally and is not included, along with flights, insurance and personal expenses.
Both — reserve any of the five rooms individually, or take the whole villa exclusively (comfortable for eight, up to eleven by arrangement, with a speedboat included).
Almost everyone flies to Padang, then crosses to Sipora by the Mentawai Fast Ferry (Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun) to Tuapejat (~3.5 hrs), followed by a ~2.5-hr private car transfer to Katiet. We arrange the whole journey with our Regular (recommended) or VIP transfer package.
