Villa Onu sits at the southern tip of Sipora, surrounded by some of the most consistent surf in the Mentawai Islands. The boat is how you reach the rest of it.
Our crew reads the swell, the tide and the wind each morning and takes you where it’s working best, often to line-ups you share with only a handful of surfers. Surf, snorkel, fish or find an empty beach for lunch. The day runs to your pace, and you’re back at the villa in time for sunset.

The closest waves are an easy dinghy ride from the beach, and our guests use them every day.
Skip the long paddle and save your arms for the waves. The dinghy drops you at the line-up and picks you up when you’re done, and it runs short snorkelling trips over the reef in front of the villa.

Half a day or a full one, wherever it's firing.
South Sipora is ringed with reefs, points and small islands. With a boat on hand you follow the conditions, not a timetable, and surf the waves the crowds miss.
Surf the nearby breaks
Your crew picks the break that suits the swell and your level, then moves you on when the tide turns. Two or three spots in a day is normal.
Explore the islands
Clear water, quiet beaches and coral reefs a short run away. Stop to snorkel, swim or stretch out on the sand between sessions.
Mix it up
Surf in the morning, snorkel at midday, put a line in on the way home. Tell us what you’d like and we shape the day around your group.

Speedboat services are for Villa Onu in-house guests only. The speedboat is included when you book the Full Service Villa, and it's an optional add-on for Private Room guests.
Yes. Every in-house guest can use the dinghy for surf drop-offs and pick-ups, short transfers and snorkelling trips to nearby spots such as HT's, Mini HT's and The Point.
Nearby breaks include Lance's Left, Cobra, Beach Break, Bintangs, Monkeys, The Point and Shipwrecks. On longer trips the speedboat can reach Macaronis, Telescopes and Greenbush, and Bat Cave (Giligans) for snorkelling and a beach picnic.
Add them before arrival through our booking engine, or ask our team to add them to your reservation after checkout. Additional services can also be organised during your stay, subject to weather, availability and operational conditions.
Yes. Boat days are flexible, so you can surf, snorkel, fish or stop at a quiet beach in the same trip. Tell us what you'd like and the crew plans the day.
Safety comes first. If the wind, swell or weather aren't right, the crew will suggest another destination or move your trip to a better day.
