We were the first to run dedicated fishing trips out of this stretch of the Mentawai — and that head start shows. Our guides grew up on these reefs and know exactly where the fish are holding, tide by tide.
Between surf sessions, or as a trip of its own, the fishing here is world-class: casting the reef edges for giant trevally, jigging deep for dogtooth tuna, trolling the blue water for wahoo, or working the mangroves for coral trout.

Our boat, the Morey, is a 7.3m aluminium craft built for serious fishing — a Suzuki 200hp outboard to reach the grounds fast, a clear casting deck, full trawling gear, and a Garmin fish finder paired with detailed spot maps built up over years on the water.

Rates & booking questions
Depending on the season and conditions: giant trevally off the reef, dogtooth tuna on the jig, wahoo trolling the blue water, and coral trout around the reefs and mangroves, among others.
Not at all — rods, reels and tackle for casting, jigging and trolling are all provided. If you'd rather use your own setup, you're welcome to bring it, and we also rent equipment standalone if you'd like to head out independently.
Yes — bring it back and our chef will prepare it however you like for dinner that evening. Prefer to release? Catch-and-release is very welcome too.
Absolutely — that's how most guests do it. Surf the morning glass, then head out to fish as the wind comes up. We build the day around the tides and the swell.
